For Sale Krautkramer Mic 10 Hardness Guage. Function tested the unit and found it to be fully functional with good cosmetic condition.
The MIC 10 hardness test is one of the fastest and most practical portable methods for determining the hardness of a material in situ. This hardness test method complies with the UCI (Ultrasonic Contact Impedance) Method. Hardness is measured by detecting the frequency shift of a longitudinally oscillating rod with a Vickers diamond indenter.
These characteristics make the MIC10 particularly suitable for the following common applications:
-
- Heat-affected zone (HAZ) in welds
- Hardness development curves
- Fine-grained materials
- Heat-treated materials
- Thin coatings and overlays
- Surface-hardened parts
- Thin-walled pipes
- Hard-to-reach locations
- Small parts are not recommended for testing coarse-grained materials.
