SystemTSC Amigo™ is a portable NDT ( Non-Destructive Testing ) instrument that uses Alternating Current Field Measurement (ACFM®) technology.to detect and measure the dimensions of surface cracks in metal components. This system is very popular for weld inspection in offshore structures because of its ability to work through layers of paint or coatings without the need to strip down to bare metal.

Key Features and Technologies

• Contactless Detection : ACFM induces a uniform electric current on the surface of the test object. The magnetic field disturbance caused by the crack is measured by a sensor.
• No On-Site Calibration : No need for on-site calibration blocks because the defect size determination is based on a theoretical mathematical model.
• Inspection Through Coatings : Can detect cracks through non-conductive coatings up to 5–10 mm thick, saving time and cost of surface cleaning.
• Butterfly Plot View : A special graph that combines signals to make it easier for operators to visually confirm the presence of cracks.
