GE Hocking Phasec 3 Eddy Current Phased Array Flaw Detector
The Phasec 3 provides complete phase plane capabilities in a remarkably small form that is easy to transport in a briefcase or toolbox. For examining the quality of the welds on steel structures like bridges, ships, oil rigs, and steel-framed buildings, the Phasec 3 Series provides a sophisticated system that uses the GE WeldScan probe line. Paint and aluminum are examples of surface coating materials that can detect cracks, thus preparation time and resources are minimal. Materials such as ferrous, stainless steel (both magnetic and non-magnetic), and aluminum can be used with the WeldScan probe line.
